CLASS OFFERINGS

We offer veteran, family, and youth programs.
We can tailor sessions to your specific wants and needs - just ask!

In our Horsemanship Classes, we teach tack parts, horse anatomy, grooming, leading, and basic riding skills - all with safety in mind. Students learn about horses and what it takes to own a horse. They learn to better understand their horse and improve communication with the horse.
Those who cannot ride (or choose not to ride) also benefit from grooming and tacking-up exercises. For individuals with physical or emotional challenges, the unique relationship and bond formed with the horse helps them to gain confidence, patience and self-esteem. The sense of independence fostered when working with horses benefits all, whether they ride or not. Anyone can benefit from working with horses. Caring for animals is a proven way of reducing stress and improving mood.

One of the classes that we offer families centers on Building Teamwork. You can read about the class here.

There are many different activities used in our sessions. Some of these activities include crafts, games, chores, and spending time with a horse in addition to riding. All activities are weather dependent and are chosen at the discretion of the session leader.
We are a working horse ranch. For your safety, we require EVERYONE who visits the ranch to wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Riders should not wear shorts or silky pants. Denim is preferred. Other items we recommend include: sunscreen, water and a snack. We also require a parent or legal guardian to remain on-site during his or her child’s session.
